Lakota Guardian Chief’s Message for Humankind
In this special message from Chief Arvol Looking Horse, 19th generation Keeper of the White Buffalo Peace Pipe, this Lakota Guardian shares his insights on the current state of events on Earth. Adam Apollo aided Chief Looking Horse’s family in 2005 and 2006 in organizing two Prayer Runs for World Peace, converging in the 10th and 11th annual World Peace Prayer Day Ceremonies.
Chief Arvol Looking Horse was born on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota and raised by his grandparents. He grew up learning the language, culture and spiritual ways of the Lakota. He currently is the 19th generation “Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe” and has devoted his life to world peace and protection of the planet. In 1993, he gave the opening prayer at the United Nations “Cry of the Earth” conference and organized the “World Peace and Prayer Day.” In that capacity, he has traveled to many nations. He is the author of “White Buffalo Teachings.”

I, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota Nations, ask you to understand an Indigenous perspective on what has happened in America, what we call “Turtle Island.” My words seek to unite the global community through a message from our sacred ceremonies to unite spiritually, each in our own ways of beliefs in the Creator.
We have been warned from ancient prophecies of these times we live in today, but have also been given a very important message about a solution to turn these terrible times…
